This CD contains plot files of the geologic map at 1:24,000, a cross section, and a 17-page booklet describing the geology of the Baileys Lake 7.5-minute quadrangle. All the files are in PDF format. The latest version of Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF files.

The surficial geologic deposits across most of the quadrangle consist of alluvial, deltaic, lacustrine, and spring and marsh deposits. Lacustrine deposits are from late Pleistocene Lake Bonneville (30 to 12 ka), the Gilbert-episode lake (since ~11 ka). Alluvial and deltaic features include modern stream and paleo-Jordan River deposits, incised channels, and paleodeltas. The quadrangle also contains the northwestern part of the Holocene-active West Valley fault zone (the Granger fault), which is antithetic to the Salt Lake City segment of the Wasatch fault to the east.
