This CD contains the first and second year reports of a two-year study into the stratigraphic and petrophysical controls on the distribution of economically viable Cretaceous Cedar Mountain-Dakota (DMC) gas reservoirs in the southern Uinta Basin.

Year-One Report includes: 1.) a well completion and production database, 2.) six regional cross sections, and 3.) a palynology report on stratigraphic age of the CMD interva from both well and outcrop samples. Year-Two Report includes: 1.) a stratigraphic tops database and porosity and permeability database, 2.) eight region cross sections, 3.) eight regional isopach maps, and 4.) four photo mosaics of outcrop, with and without annotation, and diagrammatic interpretation.

Both formations contain mostly deposits of northeast-flowing, low-sinuosity fluvial systems. Economic gas production in the CMD formations in southern Uinta Basin is controlled by several parameters including stratigraphic position, reservoir geometry, burial depth, and diagenetic controls associated with the structural setting. Reservoir quality decreases in wells greater than 7,000 feet deep.
