This is a Geographic Information System (GIS) dataset that reproduces a 1:24,000-scale geologic map of the central Mineral Mountains in southeastern Utah released in 1980 by B.S. Sibbett and D.L. Nielson. Geologic formations, faults, geothermal wells, map unit descriptions, geologic symbols, and cross sections are depicted as shown on the original map with minimal modification. Tertiary intrusions with six major granitic to quartz monzonitic plutons, two diorite stocks, and several mafic dikes forms most of the range, with Paleozoic rocks exposed on the north and south and Precambrian metamorphic rocks on the west in the Roosevelt Hot Springs Geothermal Resource Area.
