In addition to the 7.5' quadrangle geologic map, this CD includes a detailed insert map, correlated lithologic columns, and a separate paper focusing on new mapping and analyses of several frontal fold-thrust belt structures and synorogenic growth strata. This study provides insights into the development of the salient, confirming that compressional structural development occurred from approximately 100 to 40 million years ago, followed by a transition to extension. In addition, it shows that individual structures propagated toward the southeast, but initiated at different times and expanded laterally through time, and that the structures eventually developed as part of a high-relief culmination with consequent drainages that sourced alluvial fans.

This CD contains files in PDF format of a geologic map at 1:24,000 scale, an explanation plate with an enlarged insert geologic map at 1:12,000 scale, a plate of correlated lithologic columns, and a text document. The latest version of Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF files and can be downloaded from www.adobe.com. The primary geologic map is also provided as a georeferenced TIF file.
